ITC - JUNIOR SECURITY ANALYST - MILANO

We are looking for a JUNIOR SECURITY ANALYST to expand our team. Real growth opportunities are offered in a dynamic and innovative working environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate is a resource with a strong passion for Cyber Security motivated by a constant desire to increase his/her knowledge.

The candidate will be in charge of first level management/monitoring activities.

The main activities he/she will be involved in will be:

  • Log analysis and event triage
  • Supporting customers in managing security incidents

SECURITY ANALYST

InTheCyber Group, a leading organization in Cyber Defense, Cyber Security, and Intelligence, with main offices in Lugano and Milan, boasts an excellent team in both Offensive and Defensive Security. Currently, they are seeking a SECURITY ANALYST to expand their team!

Role and Responsibilities:

The resource will directly report to the manager of the relevant area and be part of the operational team of the Security Operation Center, coordinating and supporting activities performed by the first level of analysis.

Key activities include:

  • Installation and tuning of devices at clients' sites
  • Monitoring security platforms
  • Log analysis and triage of events
  • Customer support in managing security incidents
  • Study and implementation of new complex projects involving not only Network basics but also knowledge of the application level
  • Troubleshooting alarms, logs, and advanced interpretation and correlation capabilities of network traffic (TCPDUMP, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Management of the monitoring network infrastructure (switches, routers, and Firewalls)
  • Analysis of the security posture of clients' networks, identifying potential improvements and recommending customized solutions.

Profile & Requirements:

  • 2/3 years of previous experience in the role
    Knowledge of cyber threats and related detection techniques
  • Experience in using centralized log collection tools
  • Knowledge of security incident management processes
  • General networking principles
  • Knowledge of Active Directory environment
  • Knowledge of EDR, IDS, IPS solutions, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Firewalls and Application Firewalls from major brands, Router and Access point Systems, Layer 2/Layer 3 Switches, and Monitoring Systems (snmp, NetFlow, Sflow)
  • Good knowledge of virtualization systems, Windows, Linux, and Mac OS operating systems, and server hardware
  • Ability to work in international teams
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Availability for client trips (own vehicle) ***
